 Instrumental Music Program

A child who has expressed i
nterest and is selected for the program will receive one half
hour lesson per week on their chosen instrument. The lessons are conducted in small groups containing children of similar standard. The lessons are timetabled on a rotating basis during the school term to limit interruption to the child's learning of particular subjects in class. Children and class teachers are provided with the instrumental lesson's timetable at the commencement of each term.
The concert band will consist of students from year 4, 5, and 6.
Parents and Students are notified of rehearsals times at the beginning of the year by the Instrumental Music Teacher, Mrs Della Martin.
Concert bands rehearse in the activity hall from 11:00am to 11:30am on Friday morning. The attendance of these rehearsals is compulsory, for students involved in the instrumental program.

There is no cost involved with the lessons or music, but you will have to provide reeds, or oils and cleaning equipment where necessary.
  1. Music contract signed by student and parent to indicate commitment.
  2. Daily practice of 20minutes by each student.
  3. Attendance of lessons, rehearsals and other commitments, as required.
  4. Participation at music camps, concerts and workshops.
  5. Purchase of required items for maintenance of instruments.

To discuss any matter relating to the previous, please phone the school and ask to arrange a suitable time to talk to myself.

Advance Senior Instrumental Teacher,

Mrs Della Martin.
