Wakakirri 2016

2/09/2016
On Tuesday 23rd August Mrs King and Miss Hall took a group of excited students to perform for Wakakirri at the Logan Entertainment Centre. We had worked for months on our  performance 'Sea Wonder' and were very keen to show the judges our creation.

So at 12pm our props and costumes were loaded on the bus and we were on our way. When we got to the Logan Entertainment Centre we were shown our very own dressing room with flashing light bulbs over the mirrors and our own toilet - which was very exciting! We got changed into our lovely costumes that Mrs P had made for us and we were ready to rehearse on the big stage. Once we performed,  our Judge Mark Wilson gave us some fantastic feedback and then we were able to get some face paint on. At around 4:30pm Miss Hall kindly drove to pick up some yummy pizza and we went outside and had a picnic for dinner. We were then told to stay in our dressing room until it was time to perform! What a great feeling it was getting on the stage and performing for over 200 people. Thanks to Ms. Schembri and Mrs Aitken for allowing us to participate again this year. We had such a great time!  Sarah King
